Kayak Demos and Equipment Rentals on Lake Tahoe

West Shore Sports offers the latest sit-on-top kayaks by industry leader Ocean Kayak. Demo single or  tandem (double) models in a variety of sizes including 16' touring models. We also have kid's kayaks and all boats come with PFD's (lifejackets), seats and dry bags.  We launch conveniently at Obexer's Boat Company south beach, directly across the street from our shop.

Our staff offers you basic instruction and can help you plan the best route for your kayaking adventure. Touring the West Shore by kayak is truly beautiful, relaxing and invigorating and you really should plan on at least a half day's fun.

Obexer's General Store can make you a special picinc lunch that can be packed in your dry bag, so you can stop along the way to take in Lake Tahoe,while you relax.
